Vivien Koh Yun Wen

Vivien Koh is a multidisciplinary arts practitioner specializing in theatre and performance-making with a strong emphasis on community, cultural inclusivity, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

 

A graduate of the Theater Arts Department of National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, Vivien began her career in arts administration, serving as Executive Secretary of the South Taiwan Performing Arts Development Association and later working as a Theatre Manager and PR Executive for both children’s and adult theatre companies.

 

In 2018, she was appointed Cultural Performance Master Planner for the Taichung World Flora Exposition, and subsequently held the position of Administrative Executive at Encore Melaka in Malaysia. Since 2019, Vivien has been actively involved in Dua Space Dance Theatre’s nationwide initiative to produce community-based performance works that integrate local narratives, multicultural heritage, and site-specific creativity. Her work includes full-cycle project management across artistic planning, budgeting, logistics, and partner coordination.

 

Vivien has also played a vital role in expanding the company’s community outreach, curating programs like CoART Community Art Festival and Dikir Barat Delight for Seniors, and touring multicultural dance showcases to schools and local venues. On the international front, she strengthens cross-border collaborations and communications with partners in China, Singapore, and Japan including the long-term Dance Drama ‘Breakthrough Journey’ project with BiG-i Osaka. A passionate advocate for inclusive arts, Vivien actively supports training and stage opportunities for dancers with disabilities, contributing to productions that embody diversity, equity, and social impact.
